So you want to design your own Nebulruff? Thats great! This guide should help you with the process (but if you have any questions feel free to comment or ask any of the admins!)

the basics!

All Nebulruffs (and all other species) need a few things to be approved! These things being eyes, ears, pawpads, tail, spacedust, and form traits! Some of them can be replaced (such as not listing eyes because you used the faceless trait/not listing ears because you used unusual limbs) but in general its best to keep these in mind while designing!

Another thing all designs need is spacedust. Nebulruffs need to have 50% or more dust on the tail and dust somewhere on the body (even if its just one paw!) Our rules on body spacedust placement are really basic honestly! It would not be approved if you only place dust on the inner ear, paw pads, nose, horns, hair, and wings (essentially just any trait that can be hidden!). Nebulruffs can also be made up of 99% Dust if you please! They'd just need to have fur somewhere on the body as well (think of it as the same rule just flipped!)

Species specific requirements and suggestions

TLDR: Every species requires specific things! Some are optional others are not!

nebulruffs

Nebulruffs don't really have specific requirements! Just follow the basic design rules and you're good to go!

merruffs

Once again pretty much the same as Nebulruffs! The only thing different is theyre just aquatic dogs therefore it is suggested (but not required!) you give them a slit nose, webbing between paws, gills, and shorter fur! Think of them as like a seal or something! Once again all of those things are optional but prefered!

Phoelines

And once again, similar to Nebulruffs but this time with a feline twist! A Phoeline must have flame particles SOMEWHERE around them (most common placement is around the tail!). Using the particles trait on your phoeline does not count as flames. When it comes to shaped flames it must be obvious they are flames (even if you throw on a little flame tail on one of the shapes!) but besides that go wild and have fun!

As I said in the basics, all designs must have 50% or more spacedust on the tail and some spacedust on the body. There are two basic spacedust traits you can apply to your Neb. Those traits being standard spacedust and stylized spacedust. Other spacedust traits are essentially an add on for those two!

Standard spacedust is pretty much just single color or gradient spacedust! You may add patterns to the dust BUT it must be obvious they are blended into the dust itself. You can use as many colors as you want and stylize the stars you draw!

Stylized spacedust is essentially just patterns in the spacedust! stylized spacedust can be as simple as just giving an outline to the dust OR you can get real creative with it! Play around and have fun!

forms

Honestly forms are the most loose aspect of the species! When it comes to forms you (usually, some forms have specific requirements) have free access to shaped tails, spikes, horns, wings, and hooves! Ontop of all of that you can throw on any common trait you like! The only thing that needs to remain the same is the on body spacedust placement and the patterns! Get creative and have fun honestly!

misc (BOTH TRAIT WISE AND GENERAL NOTES)

Nebulruffs are NOT strict on what you can/cant do! As long as you have the proper items you can basically do whatever! Want to combine traits? That can happen! All traits may be combined excluding forms :)

Misc traits are not at all required but it gives you a bit more to do with the design instead of just a basic dog or cat! Some traits are locked to specific species but those can be passed via both breeding and shifty myos!

This guide will be updated in the future! Images are soon to come (hopefully) and some wording will be changed up in the final version!
